Digital Mapping System & Decision Support System

In order to make our historical and recent archives more accessible and useful, the WRI is initiating a WATERSHED DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM that incorporates traditional library cataloging tools,  geographic internet mapping tools, geospatial data, and map-based archival search capabilities.

WRI is initiating a pilot project using digital data-capture and scanning technologies to improve access to historical well log information and potentially other historical documentation and maps.

The WRI also has Geographical Information Systems (GIS) expertise and geospatial data management capabilities using our WRI server.

With this initiative, the WRI hopes to support local agencies in making better watershed planning decisions, while coordinating these efforts within the broader watershed community.  Please contact Lisa Pierce at  (909) 537-7681 for further details.
