Lifetime Achievement in Water Resources Award

Each year the Advisory Board of the WRI chooses a recipient to receive the coveted honor of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Each past past recipient has been a proven leader at the local, state or federal level of leadership in the water community and beyond.

This year's recipient is Gerard J. Thibeault, Executive Officer of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Santa Ana Region. The Lifetime Achievement Award dinner for Mr. Thiebeault is Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 in the Charles Obershaw Dining Room in the Upper Commons area of the campus.

Over the past nine years, the WRI has established a number of scholarships for CSUSB students in water-related curricula.The scholarships have largely been the result of the WRI's Lifetime Achievement Award banquets, which have endowed scholarships in the names of our honorees. To date, more than $250,000 in scholarship funds have been raised through these efforts.
